SUPPORT FOR ACTIVE FAMILIES
More than ever, busy parents need support. When parents come to the Y for a class, group activity or workout, their kids need a safe, enriching environment where they can build healthy, trusting relationships with other kids and adults.
Kids Zone is a fun and safe place for children ages 3 months to 12 years to enjoy while you participate in other activities at the Y. Kids Zone is included with your family Y membership. Parents may leave their children in Kids Zone for a maximum of 2 hours a day. Parents MUST remain in the YMCA facility when using Kids Zone.

+ Kids Zone Policies and Procedures
SIGN-IN/SIGN-OUT
We put safety first with a sign in/sign out procedure that we practice at all times. Children must be signed in by a parent, guardian or an adult (18+), who is listed on the child’s Family Membership. Parents must list the child’s name and the location of where they will be within the building.
FOOD POLICY
For safety reasons, no food or dairy products are permitted in Child Watch. Staff can not bottle feed infants or children while they are in Kids Zone. Leak-proof water bottles are allowed. Please label your child’s water bottle.
ILLNESS
To ensure the health and safety of all children in our care, any child who appears to have any illness or contagious condition, will not be admitted to Kids Zone. Staff may request that you bring in a note from a doctor before your child returns to Kids Zone.
TOYS FROM HOME
We have a great variety of toys, books and other activities for your children during their visit with us. For this reason we do not encourage children to bring personal belongings to Kids Zone. Pacifiers and car seats are encouraged for infants; however, pacifiers must be attached to children with clips.
DIAPERS
Please ensure that all children arrive in dry and clean diapers. Parents will be notified if their child needs their diaper changed.
CRYING
If a child is upset and crying, staff will make every effort to calm and comfort the child and help them acclimate to the environment. After 10 minutes of crying, the staff will locate the parent to assist in calming the child. Parents may attempt to leave the child a second time, but if crying persists for another 10 minutes, parent will be called to pick up the child.
