Event Updates 2/16/2024: Due to the severe rain and weather forecasted for Marco Island during the event, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the Tour de Marco for Sunday, March 3rd. Please note that all event registration and start times will remain the same. If you are unable to attend on Sunday, March 3rd, please email commrelations@ymcacollier.org to arrange for your shirt to be mailed to you or available for pick-up at the South Campus after the rescheduled event on March 3rd. We appreciate your understanding and continued support of this fundraising event and the YMCA of Collier County.
Annual Tour de Marco
Come and join us for the Annual Tour de Marco bike ride in honor of Chuck Thomas!
This exciting event features two ride options: a 15-mile ride and a 30-mile ride. Participants will explore the picturesque streets and bike paths of Marco Island and its surroundings.
By supporting this event, you are not only enjoying a fantastic ride but also contributing to the betterment of our community, ensuring that the Y remains accessible and impactful.

ABOUT CHUCK THOMAS
Welcome to the annual Chuck Thomas Memorial Tour De Marco Ride!
For those of you that did not know him - Chuck was a dedicated long time board member with the YMCA and an avid cyclist. Chuck was the best - he had a deep love of family and community. (His wife Sue and family will be at the event)
He was quick witted, loyal, humble, always active and interesting along with being generous – by being generous not just with opening his wallet but with the giving of his time. Chuck truly cared about people and helped whenever he could. You could always count on him.
I feel privileged to have known him and I miss him as do the many others whose lives he touched. I imagine Chuck stays busy doing his “Chuck stuff” angel style! In spirit today Chuck would be so proud to see the continued support for the YMCA which was so much a part of his life. He knew, as we do, that the YMCA has such a positive impact on the lives of people of all ages. So, let’s be like Chuck today and everyday – Be kind, considerate, generous & humble.
